We are delighted to announce that we have gained an Extension to Scope from UKAS for:

Medical Face Masks (Mechanical Tests)

• Breathability – BS EN 14683:2019 AC:2020 Clause 5.2.3 Annex C

• Splash Resistance – BS EN 14683:2019 AC:2020 Clause 5.2.4; ISO 22609:2004

We hope to update you with further approvals in the New Year.

We have also had our 4 year Reassessment successfully completed and approved. All relevant tests can be found on our schedule by clicking this link.

As of 1st January we will become a UK Approved Body (to replace the Notified Body status). We will continue to test Sealants and Tile Adhesives for the new UKCA Mark, and CE mark for Northern Ireland.

It has been an unprecedented year of activity for the 4ward Team, working hard to support all our ongoing client work as well as creating a new microbiological laboratory for our mask testing expansion and growth.
