UPDATE: 15651-3:2012, EN ISO 846:1997 procedure B – Microbial Growth

4ward Testing is currently unable to offer testing for EN ISO 846:1997; as there are no Laboratories in the UK available to offer this testing.

4ward Testing had previously outsourced this test to a partner Laboratory, who were the only Lab in the UK, accredited for this test. They will no longer be able to carry out testing from July 1st 2021.

In response to the high demand for testing to this specification, 4ward Testing has begun the process of gaining UKAS accreditation for the EN ISO 846:1997, to support their customers, however we estimate that gaining UKAS accreditation for this test may take up to one year. In the meantime manufacturers can use the declaration of No Performance Determined (NPD) for this characteristic from the Annex ZA1 table in Part 3 of the BS EN 15651-3:2012, (Sanitary)

We will endeavour to update our customers with any further information on this matter, and hope to be able to support this testing requirement in the future.

Thank you for your on-going support and patience as we begin this process.

Reviews From Our Happy Clients
We had a requirement to test a sample of a large stock of face masks, to ensure their suitability for use by those supporting the response to the "COVID pandemic".  4ward Testing were recommended to us and they delivered their report well within the agreed timescale. I was impressed with their recognition of the urgency this work required and communications with Polly & Anthony were excellent so I would have no hesitation in using their services again, or in recommending them to others!
